Meeting the increased demand for colonoscopy
To reduce wait lists and patient waiting times, the Western Australian Department of Health has implemented the Ambulatory Surgery Initiative (ASI) where gastroenterologists can conduct private colonoscopies in non-teaching public hospitals. Colonoscopy service providers therefore include private practice, public waitlist, and ASI.
