2007 Cancer Research Symposium

The second Cancer Research Symposium was held on 29th March 2007 at the Parmelia Hilton Perth.

The aim of Cancer Research Symposia is to encourage local researchers to share their findings with the local scientific community.

The program consisted of 5 keynote speakers:

• Professor Ian Olver, CEO of the Cancer Council Australia
• Professor David Hill, Director of the Cancer Council Victoria
• Associate Professor Ruth Ganss, WA Institute of Medical Research
• Professor Charles Watson, Professor of Health Sciences at Curtin University of Technology
• Anne McKenzie, Consumer Research Liaison Officer at the UWA School of Population Health and Telethon Institute of Child Health Research.

The Symposium also included the Annual Cancer Council WA Research Lunch that recognised the recipients of the 2007 Cancer Council WA Research Grants.
