The Library is a short walk north of the Perth Railway Station and the Wellington Street Bus Station. Blue CAT buses travel close to the building with stops in Beaufort, Aberdeen and William Streets.

Dr. Hooi Ee is a full-time gastroenterologist and current Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He is the Clinical Advisor to the Department of Health WA on bowel cancer screening. He is a co-author on national guidelines for bowel cancer screening and colonoscopy surveillance. His clinical interests include genetic colorectal cancer syndromes, general gastroenterology, and colonoscopy quality. He is also a clinical and endoscopic trainer, and undertakes collaborative research in colorectal and pancreatic cancer.

Dr Hooi Ee will be discussing what bowel cancer is, why Australia has one of the highest rates of bowel cancer in the world, and what you can do to reduce your risk, including aspects on screening recommendations.
