Meditation can generally be defined as a self-directed practice for relaxing the body and calming the mind. Meditation can help to improve quality of life for people with cancer. Research suggests it is useful for treating chronic pain and insomnia and can help in reducing anxiety, stress and blood pressure.
Life Now Meditation is offered to people newly diagnosed with cancer or currently undergoing or recovering from treatment. This program is offered at an introductory level for 6 weeks. Classes run for 1 hour each week, and primary carers are also welcome to attend.
If you would like to participate in an online course, you will need access to a smart device such as a Laptop, iPad, Smart Phone (iPhone, Android) or Smart TV.
