The Cancer Council WA Life Now Program offers free evidence-based programs to support cancer patients and their carers. We invite people living with cancer and their primary carer to take part in the free Life Now Tai Chi program, which is funded through generous community donations.
Tai chi is a form of Chinese martial art which has been shown to help bring about a state of calm and clarity through low impact movements and stretching.
An experienced facilitator will guide you through these gentle tai chi sessions. There is no need for any prior skills or experience to participate and benefit from these classes.
Life Now Tai Chi is a gentle six week course, offered at an introductory level for one hour each week.
Life Now Tai Chi is offered to Western Australians who have been diagnosed with cancer, or who have experienced a recurrence, secondary or progression, in the last five years.
Primary carers are also welcome to attend.
As this is a beginners course, no prior tai chi experience is required to participate.
So we can help more people to experience the many benefits of Tai Chi, participants are invited to attend a maximum of three Life Now Tai Chi courses.
