Over the past two decades, there has been a worldwide resurgence of interest in this challenging, neglected aspect of health care. The importance of the spiritual dimension in all areas of healthcare is clearly outlined throughout ‘The National Palliative Care Standards 2018’ (Palliative Care Australia, 2018).

The purpose of the training is to demystify spiritual care and develop a more spiritually literate workforce.
