The cook, the chef and the cuppa team up

14 March 2014

Cancer Council WA is thrilled to have celebrity cook Anna Gare and local chef Herb Faust on board as local ambassadors for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

May is Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea when friends, family and workmates come together throughout May for a ‘cuppa’ to help in the fight against cancer.

TV personality Anna Gare said as a passionate supporter of a healthy, active lifestyle, she was proud to support Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

“Nowadays in our busy lives, the opportunities to get together with colleagues, friends or family can slip past all too quickly,” Anna said.

“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a great excuse to seize the opportunity to indulge in a delicious morning tea for a great cause."

Herb Faust is the proud owner of Herb Faust Food, an exclusive catering business which was launched in 2010 after Herb became the only contestant to beat an Iron chef on the TV series ‘Iron Chef Australia’.
“I’m thrilled to be involved in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea this year,” Herb said.

“Supporting the amazing research, education and support work the Cancer Council provides is a cause that’s very close to my heart, having lost my mum to cancer when I was only 19.

“I don’t think there’s a more fun or easy way to be involved in raising these vital funds than sharing a cuppa with family and friends,” he said.

This year Cancer Council WA aims to raise $1.6 million to support Cancer Council’s life-saving work into prevention programs, world class research and support services like the Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20 for all people affected by cancer.

Cancer Council WA is the only independent, community-based charity dedicated to the prevention, research and support of all cancers.
