Congratulations to everyone who took part in Dry July this year to raise much-needed funds for Cancer Council WA. The money you raised will go towards improving our accommodation lodges so we can continue to provide a comfortable home-away-from-home for WA's country cancer patients and their carers while they access treatment in Perth.
Special mention to the generous people below who took part in Dry July this year and named us as their beneficiary:
- Our wonderful lodge staff who formed the 'Zombies' Dry July team and gave up both booze AND their daily cuppa, raising a wonderful $7,161.24
- Clayton Mitchell, who inspired by his dad raised an incredible $2,065.68
- 6PR's Lisa Barnes, our 2016 Dry July Ambassador who raised $802.50
- 720 Perth's Jane Marwick, our 2016 Dry July Ambassador who raised $1,533.28
- Conduct kitchen renovations at Crawford Lodge
- Build a shade covered walkway at Crawford Lodge
- Build a theatre room at Crawford Lodge
- Replace mattresses at Milroy Lodge
- Install ceiling fans at Crawford and Milroy Lodge
- Introduce WiFi and Skype at Crawford Lodge
- Introduce a transport to treatment service for Peel and Rockingham patients
- Increased energy levels and higher productivity
- A clearer head
- No more hangovers
- Sleeping better and / or snoring less
- Weight loss
