July is fast approaching which means it's time to ditch the booze and take part in Dry July! By signing up for a booze free month and selecting us as your beneficiary you’ll be helping to support thousands of West Aussies affected by cancer. Since 2013, Dry July has helped us raise an amazing $893,000!!
The funds raised from Dry July in 2016, have helped us to do the following:
Refurbish Crawford Lodge
Thanks to funds raised through Dry July we have been able to allocate $100,000 towards a refurbishment of Crawford Lodge to convert a meeting room into accommodation, which will provide more space and availability for patients. This refurbishment is currently underway and will allow us to accommodate more country cancer patients while they undergo treatment in Perth.
Purchase a new Transport to Treatment Vehicle
Peel and Rockingham cancer patients can now get to treatment more easily via our free Transport to Treatment service. Operating from our Mandurah and Rockingham offices, the service provides safe, convenient and comfortable transport for patients undergoing radiotherapy at Fiona Stanley Hospital. The purchase of the vehicle was made possible thanks to funds raised by our supporters who took part in Dry July.
Fix the lock system at Crawford Lodge
Last year's Dry July funds were used to replace the old and failing lock system at Crawford Lodge. The new card lock system provides security and ease of access for our Lodge guests.
Don’t forget ditching booze benefits you too!
