Celebrating National Volunteer Week

Yesterday we hosted a morning tea for over 60 volunteers in celebration of National Volunteer Week (NVW) 2017. The morning tea was a wonderful way to show our appreciation to all of our amazing volunteers who help us work towards our vision of a cancer-free future for our community. In the 15/16 financial year 1960 volunteers contributed 84,527 hours across all areas of our work – we simply couldn’t do what we do without them.

Take a look at some snaps from the morning tea below.

Increasingly, volunteering is being understood as one of the enduring social, cultural and economic values of our society and NVW is a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to the extraordinary contribution of volunteers across the nation, and especially those who volunteer with us and help us in our mission to reduce the impact and incidence of cancer in WA.
