Why is having a Will important?

Updated 21 Feb 2018.

Writing a Will can seem like a daunting task best left for another day, this is why many of us are guilty of leaving it on our ‘To- do List’. However, writing a Will is essential to ensuring our wishes are fulfilled after we’re gone.

Why is having a Will important?

By having a valid Will you can provide security for your loved ones, ensure that your wishes are carried out after your death and take comfort knowing that your assets will be distributed to the people and causes you care about.

Without a Will, the distribution of your estate will be made according to the Administration Act 1903 (WA). This could mean that those who you want to benefit from your estate may not receive what you would expect.

To help, we’re partnering with Classic Legal again to offer professionally prepared standard Wills for just $99.

This no obligation Will writing service encourages you to think of your family and friends first and then consider including a gift in your will to a cause close to your heart.

How gifts in wills help us continue to support West Australians affected by cancer

Gift in Will donations make up approximately 16% of our funds. Gifts in Will enable us to continue to fund vital cancer research, run our education and prevention programs and provide essential support services to all West Australians affected by cancer and their families.

All gifts, no matter the size, come together to make a real difference -not only to the lives of those we’re able to support, but also to the family who can take comfort in the fact their loved ones wishes has been honoured.

Where will the service take place?

We’ll be at Galleria Shopping Centre, Morley from 19-21 March 2018 from 9am-5pm

and Whitford City Shopping Centre, Hillarys from 22 - 24  March 2018
