Regional Community Grants for bowel cancer

Cancer Council WA is offering grants of up to $200 to community groups in regional WA to raise awareness of bowel cancer.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia. However when caught early, up to 90 per cent of those diagnosed with bowel cancer will beat it!

Screening is the best way to reduce deaths from bowel cancer through early detection, but participation rates are too low.

The Regional Community Grants program aims to reduce the impact of bowel cancer in regional WA by educating the community about bowel cancer risk factors, symptoms and the importance of screening.
