Multicultural Community grants for bowel cancer

Multicultural Community Grants program

Cancer Council WA is offering grants of up to $200 to host a community event.

Why?

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia. However, when caught early, 90% of those diagnosed with bowel cancer will beat it!

Screening for bowel cancer before you have symptoms is the best way to reduce deaths, but participation rates in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program are low. Participation rates are very low for people from multicultural backgrounds, including those people who don't speak English at home.

Who?

Multicultural community groups in Perth with a large number of members aged around 50 to 74 years.

How?

Applications are open until Thursday 30 April 2020

If you have any questions, please contact Kate at Cancer Council WA. We are here to help!
