Western Australia Cancer Clinical Trials Registry
Welcome to the Western Australia Cancer Clinical Trials Registry (WACCTR).
The WACCTR has been established by the Cancer Council WA and the Western Australian Clinical Oncology Group. It is an online register listing cancer clinical trials open in Western Australian hospitals. It's purpose is to provide an opportunity for Western Australians to find out about what cancer clinical trials are being undertaken and at which Western Australian hospitals.
The Cancer Council WA and the Western Australian Clinical Oncology Group, like many national and international cancer organisations, believe that where possible the best clinical management for cancer patients is in a clinical trial. Participation in clinical trials is especially encouraged by both organisations.
The WACCTR includes trials from a wide range of cancer treatment areas including chemotherapy, radiation methods, surgical procedures, preventive measures and lifestyle.
Persons interested in finding out more about these trials listed here are encouraged to contact the respective hospital centre on the phone numbers appearing next to the hospital logo.
All trials listed here appear on other national and international clinical trials registries - the relevant details of which are included on each respective clinical trial entry. The links to these registers are provided for each clinical trial appearing on the registry.
The Cancer Council will endeavour to maintain this list of clinical trials to ensure that is regularly updated for all interested persons including prospective participants and health professionals.
