Event organisers have a responsibility to protect visitors, staff and volunteers from exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. Sun protection is simple but requires some thought and preparation before the event. To guide your sun protection planning, see our tips on hosting a SunSmart outdoor event (pdf 99kb).
The SunSmart Van is the Cancer Council's mobile retail unit which provides skin cancer prevention information and sells sun protection products. The van is suitable for large outdoor events in the metropolitan area with more than 3,000 people attending and can be requested by any community group.
